What's the difference between UVB and UVA?

UVB are the visible rays of the sun, responsible for sunburn and skin cancer: they are most dangerous between 12pm and 4pm. As for UVA rays, they are present regardless of the time of day, the weather or the season: they are responsible for skin aging and pigmentation spots.

What's the difference between SPF 30, 50 and 50+?

The SPF corresponds to UVB protection: an SPF 30 lets in around 3% of UVBs, while an SPF 50 lets in 2% - a significant difference of 50%! With an SPF above 50, you're also much better protected⸱e from UVA: in Europe, when the UVA logo is circled, it means that UVA protection corresponds to at least a third of UVB protection - i.e. 20 for an SPF 50+.

What is a new-generation organic UV filter?

An organic UV filter is a synthetically-created filter that differs from a naturally-occurring inorganic filter.
